FSU doesn't even like to use the term "mascot" because of this relationship they've built. They say the Seminoles are their partners, not mascots. How cool is that?

The Seminole Tribe actually helps design the outfits worn by the students who portray Osceola. It's all about respect and making sure the Tribe's culture is represented properly. They've been doing this since 1947, which is a long time.

So, yeah, that's the story I stumbled upon today. It started with a shocking headline and ended up being a deep dive into a tragic event and a bit about the relationship between FSU and the Seminole Tribe. Crazy how things unfold, right? First, I started looking at all the games scheduled for the week. It's a lot, trust me. I spent hours going through each matchup, checking out team records, recent scores, you name it.

• Florida State vs. Clemson: This one had a lot of hype. Both teams are strong, but I felt like Florida State had a slight edge.
• Alabama vs. Ole Miss: Classic SEC rivalry. Always a tough game to predict, but Alabama is just so dominant.

I also looked into the rules for my state. For example, I know that in New York, you can't bet on in-state college sports, but you can bet on collegiate sports taking place in the state, like during March Madness or the National Championship Playoff. Gotta make sure I'm following the rules, you know?

After all that, I finally placed my bets. It's always a bit of a gamble, but that's part of the fun. I tried to mix it up, some favorites, some underdogs, just to keep things interesting.

In the end, some of my bets hit, some didn't. That's just how it goes. But I learned a lot, and I'm already looking forward to next week's games. I'll keep doing my research, keep making my picks, and hopefully, I'll get a little better each time. It's all about the thrill of the game, right?
