Anyway, I finally found what I was looking for. It said she's of Afro-Panamanian, English, German, Irish, Mexican, and Scottish descent. That's a whole lot of heritages mixed together. It also said that her multiracial identity has played a part in some of her movie roles. Interesting.

I even stumbled upon some quotes from her, talking about her identity and advocacy. She's described as a Black bisexual woman, and it seems like she's using her platform to do some good. Good for her. I guess. The whole celebrity thing is pretty weird to me, but hey, if you have a voice and you are using it for good, I guess that is pretty awesome.

There was also something about a movie she did called "Passing" that's shot in black and white. Sounds artsy. I don't know if I'd watch it, but it was interesting to read about.

First off, I woke up early this morning, super pumped for the game. I put on my lucky Gamecocks jersey – yeah, I'm that guy, don't judge. Checked my phone immediately to see if there were any last-minute updates. Nothing major, just the usual pre-game hype.

Then, I made sure to follow the live updates like a hawk. Game day, you know? Every play, every move, I was on it. I remember seeing the updates about the USC Trojans, who are No. 13, playing their first game in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. I used to follow along with their live updates, too. Interesting stuff.

• South Carolina vs. Vanderbilt: I got the details for this one, too. It was South Carolina (3-6, 1-5 SEC) against Vanderbilt (2-8, 0-6 SEC) at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia.

And then there was this mention of LaNorris Sellers and the South Carolina Gamecocks playing against the Illinois Fighting Illini in the Citrus Bowl. Scheduled for December 31, 2024, at 3 p.m. ET, airing on ABC – marked that in my calendar, for sure. It's a big deal because, you know, the Gamecocks have a history. Back in 1900, The State newspaper first referred to the team as the "Gamecocks". It's a nod to General Thomas Sumter, the Revolutionary War hero, the Fighting Gamecock. Cool, right?

I also dug up some history on the South Carolina-Clemson rivalry. Did you know South Carolina has beaten Clemson 44 times since 1896? And their longest winning streak was from 2009 to 2013 – five straight wins. That's something to brag about.

Then, I noticed the Gamecocks were No. 18 in this week's CFP rankings. Not too shabby, huh?

So, I kept refreshing my feed, waiting for updates. It is a little bit frustrating, but that's part of the fun, I guess. Every update had me on the edge of my seat. And that's pretty much how I spent my day – glued to the screen, living and breathing Gamecocks football.
